Control and Audit Unix Account Access
Manage and Record Users Logging-in to Your Network
Challenge:
There are many holes to plug in the quest for securing data at risk. You need to safeguard the privacy of information in files and databases, and the confidentiality of your on-line assets and systems. External hacking and internal subterfuge can compromise that security. If improper access and activity is occurring on your Unix servers, you may not know how to stop or prove it.

Solutions:
Advanced gate-keeping and logging software for Unix account access is now available. The proven Logon Security tool enhances -- but does not interfere with -- the standard security protocols of Unix operating systems. You can use Logon Security to restrict and audit user log-ins, rights, client terminals, and activities.

Control the Access
With Logon Security, you can automatically serve up an application program for a user who successfully logs in. To stop hacker incursions, unsuccessful login attempts are recorded and repeat offenders are permanently rejected. Idle accounts are sensed and locked out.

Audit the Access
Logon Security audits log-in activities in an encrypted set of reports, which are linked to Logon's encrypted parameter files. Attempts to manipulate Logon's encrypted control files or reports are recorded and result in a lock-out. Logon Security produces audit trails of logon attempts, and eventually, record more user activities and commands.

Only the Logon administrator can access, analyze and report from the trail. Even the UNIX system administrator (root user) cannot access Logon Security's encrypted audit trail. Attempted manipulation results in a warning and/or lock-out.
