Unload Faster
IRI's optional Fast Extract (FACT) product can unload large Oracle and DB2 tables in parallel on most Unix and Linux platforms. FACT also generates the flat file layouts for the CoSort product's SortCL tool, and the metadata for SQL*Loader - facilitating downstream or simultaneous transforms, reports, and loads. Other tools and methods (like an SQL SELECT * - unencumbered by transforms beyond WHERE) can also accelerate unloads.

Sort (Reorg), Transform, Refresh, Secure, Report Faster
With data now safely replicated in the file system, you can use CoSort's SortCL tool to perform SQL-equivalent operations like order by, join, and group by. You can also use SortCL's selection logic or lookup transforms to get discrete subsets and answers, capture changes, and even generate test data. At the same time, field-level functions and formatting controls allow you to protect (encrypt) and present (report on) that data.

Load and Query Faster
Pre-CoSorting flat files can save database resources and dramatically improve the performance of bulk load utilities. This is a "key" performance element in high-volume database reogs.
