CoSort is the leading sorting and data manipulation suite for Unix, Linux, and Windows. CoSort performs, speeds, and combines large staging and presentation tasks, including data:

integration & transformation (join, sort, etc.)
segmentation & filtering (select, scrub)
conversion (data and file type translation)
reporting (batch, detail, summary, deltas)
protection (encryption, de-ID, masking)

across multiple files and formats. Use CoSort for: legacy sort and data migrations; database reorg, replication, and migration; data warehouse ETL and changed data capture operations; business intelligence; data security; and, application development. Call CoSort on the command-line, in batch, from a GUI, API, or job scheduler. The description links to CoSort's solution areas; details on the SortCL 4GL; metadata and COBOL tools; and, a new dashboard option. Sort Plug-Ins refer to drop-in replacements and conversion routines for third-party sort verbs and parameters to help you upgrade to CoSort faster.
Fast Extract (FACT) is a parallel unload utility for Oracle and DB2 that creates flat files from large tables. FACT: runs on Unix, Linux and Windows; uses SQL SELECT syntax; secures user access; includes many reformatting options; and, can handle LONG and LOB data. FACT also writes the extracts' metadata for CoSort (SortCL) data definition files and SQL*Loader control files. Running CoSort between FACT and SQL*Loader allows you to: replicate and reformat table data into different file formats; run custom detail, delta, and summary reports; and perform other transforms like sorting (which speeds bulk loads). Combining FACT with CoSort and your loader means faster data warehouse ETL, reorgs, and DB migrations.
RowGen is a safe test data generation package for large databases and files. RowGen rapidly builds intelligent test targets in table, flat-file, and custom report formats, using randomly selected and/or generated data from >100 single and multi-byte character sets. RowGen leverages the data model parsing power of RapidACE, and the data manipulation power of CoSort to create huge, structurally and referentially correct data sets based on data models or file metadata repositories. RowGen's multi-target, multi-format, and multi-type technology safeguards production data and improves application quality. Use RowGen for test DB population, ETL prototyping, product development and stress testing, platform benchmarking, outsourcing, and privacy law compliance.
FieldShield is the only data-centric security solution for enterprise data at rest stored in flat files. FieldShield shields fields in text, CSV, LDIF, XML, COBOL and other sequential formats with strong encryption, de-identification, anonymization and pseudonymization, filtering and redaction, and custom functions. FieldShield can create an XML audit trail detailing your job script and runtime environment so you can verify compliance with privacy regulations. FieldShield leverages the same metadata as CoSort, FACT, RowGen and NextForm, and its data definition file format is also compatible with the Meta Integration Model Bridge to help you protect the fields in the files that many other applications use.
NextForm is a versatile data migration tool for converting file formats and data types. NextForm allows you, for example, to quickly convert large LDIF or web log files to CSV, flat files to XML, ISAM to text, etc., and of course, go the other way around. Similarly, at the field level, you can convert EBCDIC to ASCII, packed decimal to numeric, UTF-16 to UTF-8, ISO to European timestamp, etc., and vice versa. NextForm also remaps field orders, offsets and/or separators to create new file layouts. NextForm uses the same data definition file (DDF) metadata supported by CoSort, FACT, RowGen, FieldShield, and the Meta Integration Model Bridge so you can use the same file layouts across all IRI products, and in many third-party applications.
RapidACE, or Rapid "Architectural Consolidation Engine" empowers data architects with disparate data models. Invented by VLDB and data vault expert Dan Lindstedt, RapidACE visualizes, integrates, and leverages models across the enterprise, and can create a single, compliant enterprise-wide data model in less than a day. RapidACE improves the predictability and adaptability of your data warehouse. Like an ETL tool for data models, RapidACE generates new models in 3D based on changes in your source systems. New business requirements ripple through the tool effortlessly, allowing for unprecedented response times for prototyping, what-if analyses, model analyses, project audit and review, and data integration project scope and feasibility analyses.
